Tipsy Tree Branding Campaign
Project type
Brand Development
Date
Spring 2025
Overview: Developed Tipsy Tree, a vintage-inspired cider brand concept designed to fill the market gap for a sweeter, on-tap alternative to beer. Built the full brand identity, marketing strategy, and launch campaign—from positioning and personas to design mockups and experiential activations.
Tipsy Tree was a brand concept I created for a class project focused on identifying market gaps and building a brand from the ground up. I developed the entire brand identity—from the name and voice to visual design, positioning, and launch strategy.
The idea was inspired by a real market insight I observed while out with friends: many bars that don’t serve cocktails lack a sweeter, more approachable on-tap option. I noticed that while beer dominates the tap line-up, there's limited choice for people who want something light, fruity, and fun—but not overwhelmingly sweet like Angry Orchard. I wanted to create something that filled that gap.
Tipsy Tree is a vintage-inspired cider brand that brings flavor, personality, and flexibility to the bar scene. Designed to be served on tap, it’s a lower-cost, cocktail-adjacent option for venues without a full bar program. The brand is fruit-forward, approachable, and easy to abbreviate—just like the best drink names are.
I infused my personality into every detail of the brand—from its name and playful tone to the marketing strategy that focused on community, aesthetic appeal, and on-premise visibility. It was important to me that the brand felt authentic, confident, and like something my friends and I would actually order.
This project challenged me to think both creatively and strategically. I developed a full customer persona, crafted mockups in Canva, and pitched a promotional campaign including influencer seeding, branded glassware, and a launch event.
