Overview: Led a semester-long strategic management simulation in the automotive industry, analyzing market data, setting pricing strategies, and allocating investments. Our team achieved first place by developing a data-driven expansion and product strategy that dominated all competitors.

As part of my Strategic Management course, I led a four-person team in a semester-long simulation competing in the automotive industry. The project replicated real-world strategic decision-making across marketing, product development, finance, and operations using graduate-level business modeling software.

I served as the primary decision-maker for Firm A, overseeing everything from pricing and product launches to stock and bond financing. My team met twice weekly to analyze market data, competitor performance, and consumer trends to guide investment, expansion, and production strategies. We adopted an aggressive, growth-driven approach that balanced early risk with long-term equity building, ultimately achieving the highest cumulative net income ($9.1M) and dollar sales ($698.8M) in the class, finishing first across all teams.

Throughout the simulation, I refined my skills in financial modeling, data-driven decision-making, and strategic forecasting. I learned to evaluate cost-benefit trade-offs, interpret shifting consumer preferences, and implement both blue-ocean and competitive positioning strategies in real time.

This experience strengthened my ability to think cross-functionally by combining financial analysis and market insight. It reinforced my passion for strategy, analytics, and leading under pressure.
